I am an active Home Assistant user. The Home Assistant community is huge and growing rapidly – with millions of users worldwide.
Most of us make buying decisions strongly based on Home Assistant compatibility.

Proposed Change

Requested feature

• Expose button press as a binary sensor or event.

Example use cases

• Button as a doorbell → trigger camera snapshot.
• Button as an emergency switch → send notifications.

Benefit

Adds a simple but very useful automation trigger.
