Light Remote color and timer

Current Situation

The documentation doesn't show if or how the colour and timer functions of a light remote can be controlled. If it is possible. could the document be updated please. Unfortunately, I don't have an IR remote controlled lamp, so i have no way to try things, but a user of my app is asking for these to be implemented.
