New implementation configuration woes

Open CharlesBelov opened this issue 7 years ago • 4 comments

I'm not clear from the instructions how to set up the initial configuration:

  1. I've got GTFS running in Tomcat on Red Hat Linux
  2. /tmp/GTFS/google_transit/ directory contains the 10 GTFS .txt files for our agency

If I go to the ttpub page, it only lists the demo timetables. I want it to list only my timetable and not even acknowledge the existance of the demo timetables. How do I accomplish that?

I've gotten further. Thank you for this nice tool. The schedules are attractive both as HTML and as PDF.

I've deleted the amtrak and other directories from the ttpub/WEB-INF/classes/org/gtfs/schedule directory and copied the google_transit directory for our agency into ttpub/WEB-INF/classes/org/gtfs/schedule.

I then restarted Tomcat.

So I now get our routes, but still get Amtrak and the other routes. I thought I had obliterated the Amtrak data. How do I get rid of it?

Also, when I list from the drop-down, our routes show the Agency Name (redundant for our purposes) and the route long name but not the route short name. Where do I configure this?

Finally, the schedules ARE up to date. How do I get rid of the footnote saying that they are not up to date?

Okay, got further. Found the place where I can point to /tmp, which gets rid of the non-SFMTA files, and found where to configure to get rid of the note that schedules are not up to date.

But now, Weekday, Saturday, and Sunday schedules are all showing on the same display regardless of whether I choose Weekday, Saturday, or Sunday. I would expect only Weekday to show on Weekday, etc.

Hey Charles ... sorry for the delay (just seeing these issues). In TTPUB, there's a way to map what service should show on either Weekday / Saturday or Sunday. Let me know if this is still an issue, and I'll get your data into TTPUB to take a look.

Yes, thank you, the issue is still occurring.

SFMTA GTFS file

The ASHBURY-18TH ST route can be compared to the current schedule on 511.org

For instance, the first two actual outbound trips on weekdays are 19 minutes apart (5:20 and 5:39 am). Saturday and Sunday times for this route are the same as one another, and show on the weekday schedule as two identical trips (5:15 and 5:15, neither of which run on weekdays).
