Question: Do any certificate authorities offer document signing certificates in p12 format
We want to self-host OpenSign on an AWS EC2 server. I've contacted several companies on the AATL List but can't find one that will sell a certificate in p12 format. They only offer the the certificates on USB tokens.
Can anyone share an AATL vendor that will sell the certificate in p12 format?
Thanks
Hi, yes there are surely some vendors. I got my p12 certificate from https://globaltrust.eu/.
I contacted sales and explained the situation with OpenSign to them. I then received the following reply by email: “Hello, after consulting with the technicians, I have been told that you should order the GLOBALTRUST Advanced SEAL and note on the order that it needs to be AATL compliant.”
To be on the safe side, you may want to write to them beforehand. Everything worked fine for me.
How did you get on with this in the end? I tried ssl.com vendor who advised:
For doc signing, there is no option to get a pfx file for security. This is mandated by the CA/B forum guidelines.
