Export Error when choosing "DVD" for profile.

Open Colorjet3 opened this issue 3 years ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug: When trying to export using the Profile = DVD, OpenShot generates this message "Sorry, there was an error exporting your video: Could not write header to file, for file c:\work\videoprojects\openshot\test01.dvd". There is the option to click on OK. You click on OK and then you are back to the Export Video screen which the only thing you can do is click on Done which takes you back to OpenShot.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Start OpenShot
  2. Open a project or import a new file and added it to the timeline.
  3. Click on Export.
  4. Change "Profile:" from All Formats to DVD.
  5. Click on Export Video.
  6. You will see the Error Message mentioned above.

Note: I found this https://github.com/OpenShot/openshot-qt/issues/2504 but I am not sure what the fix is/was.

Expected behavior: The project will get exported without errors and the final project will be playable.

System Details:

  • OpenShot Version 2.6.1 Build #9583
  • Operating System / Distro: Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H2, Build 19044.1826

Log Files: If you are experiencing a crash, please collect and attach logs of the problem. Log files can be found in the .openshot_qt folder in your user home directory. Log files over 2 MB in size will need to be compressed, please attach a ZIP file instead of the raw logs.

Exception / Stacktrace: Nothing to report
