printer server app squats on port 8000

Open jpnp opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

The printer service offers its config web UI on port 8000, this clashes with many other pieces of software providing a web service. Is there a way to configure this to another port, or to default to one that is less commonly used?

(following the documentation of the hp-printer-app)

When running a gutenprint-printer-app server, you can specify the port number by having the option -o server-port=xxxx Hope this will help!

Or you can define the port in /etc/gutenprint-printer-app.conf with the same syntax, or afaik pappl based printer app should automatically use the first free 8000+ port number.
