Handling OneStor flexible

Open madmax01 opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Description Unknown how to fully disable/revert or flexible handle Replication Process

To Reproduce REPLICA_HOST=xxxxx..... Then Replicate few VM's... When removing the REPLICA_HOST from Datastore - nothing happens its still syncing... removing from templates also not changing the VM's.... when removing the VM Tag RECOVERY_SNAPSHOT_FREQ its getting added automatically again. the Main disks are still pointed as

disk.0 -> disk.0.snap/base.1 disk.0.snap

instead of

disk.0

onehost sync -f + service restarts didn't helped

manually create VM snapshot and to delete also didn't reverted the Disk Layout

Expected behavior Expected is an Easy way to enable Replication - and when required to disable it again........

Details

  • Sunstone + KVM
  • Alma8
  • Version: 6.4

Happy if Dev Team would be free to Advice on:

  • rsync Location (from where its getting started?) > looking for tuning options
  • ssh Location (from where its getting started?) > looking for tuning options? (ciphs etc,..)
  • How its possible to disable Replication after deployment for Individually Vm's ? (fully back to original disk layout)
  • Anything planned in Regards to Replication on Roadmap?

,...... seems there is no officially process for getting back to original setup...... looks like a combo of unlink,.. blockcommit,... renamings,... etc,....

We are in the process of reviewing some of the features / implementation of SSH/OneStor drivers. I'll keep this open to update with new options etc...
