Ubuntu 16.04 + Kinect V1 1414 = No Device Connected Help

Hi Team

Im trying to work on ORK project from object detection in ROS Kinetic , im stuck like a hell on my kinect 1414 i tried to install it via Freenect OpenNi followed all tutorials but still no device connected message i also cant see it in lsusb , my kinect is working ( Green Led when its plugged ) can anyone give me a fixed and updated tutorial or any issue please.

Same issue here. I have installed and *hell re-installed every driver I have come across in my search. The interesting aspect is that, "freenect-glview" works perfectly. I can control the tilt and all that. But running "freenect_launch freenect.launch" at first starts normally with few warning messages about it setting some default values. That's alright. But the moment you try to read from any of its topics, it enters a never ending loop of starting, timeout and stopping device.

Somebody please help!!!

Whey I run openni driver the context does not find any usb divice even though one is plug in and can be accessed through native interface.

context_.EnumerateProductionTrees

find nothing.
