Issue about whether MAP is automatically scaled

In the recent learning process, through the further reading of literature and the research of PYCYCLE program, I have a doubt, that is, does MAP realize automatic scaling in PYCYCLE? Because in 'compressor_map' and 'turbine_map', I found that the output value was the scaling factor, not the input value. But if it is automatically scaled like this, I don't see these two Py files being used in the main engine model program. So some doubts, please answer the big guys. thank you
