Sounds good! I would suggest setting up Renovate to automatically update dependencies. That would take off a lot of work in maintaining this library. Maybe I can give that a shot soon. :)

Great idea. Dependabot could also keep the GitHub Actions up to date. What does Renovate provide, that dependabot does not?

Most of my open source contributions are web-language related (JavaScript/TypeScript or tooling for that), but I almost exclusively use Java for work.
