IHttpClientFactory not found

Open jimmyd95 opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

I am trying to follow the VR tutorial provided by Immersive Limit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI9QSHpiMW0. I installed the OpenAIAPI and for some reasons the console keeps giving me an error on that. I installed Microsoft.Extensions.Http 7.0.0, and tried 6.0.0 on NuGet (also installed a version on the developer console in the root director in Assembly-CSharp.csproj I believe). Need some help in resolving the issue... I tried installing Asp.net but the bug did not go away. Need some help here.

I just deleted the lines that use it. I couldn't figure it out. Still works

But these lines allegedly fix other issues...

So can you fix it?

Don't download the latest version. In the Releases page, use v1.6 Anything past that is broken - the contributors were complaining about the HttpClientFactory, and "fixed it" to fit whatever .Net version they were using - and broke it for many others. The author should probably also state that it requires Unity 2022 and later for other packages.

Nice, after a year or so it's still buggy. It sounds like an open project that I would build hahaha.

Hopefully, they fix this some day...
