Thank you for taking an interest in OS-Copilot. As one of the earliest pioneers in the OS-agent space, the project offered architectural insights and engineering blueprints that have since inspired numerous follow-up efforts. Regrettably, after the team was disbanded, active maintenance had to cease.
I recommend following Dr. Zhiyong Wu’s recent work; over the past year he has achieved remarkable results in GUI-agent research like SeeClick, OS-Atlas, OS-Genesis, etc. If you’d like to stay abreast of the latest advances in OS- and Web-agent development, the top entries on the GAIA Leaderboard are an excellent starting point.
As for reproducing OS-Copilot’s original results, all the cloud-side tool APIs it once relied on are now defunct, so a faithful rerun is unfortunately no longer possible. You can, however, still experiment with OS-Copilot on purely local, offline desktop workflows—file creation, deletion, moving, and so on. Such tasks may seem trivial today, but when I first got them working in November 2023, the moment was so striking it moved me to tears.
