Request for SAP HANA Support

Hello OHDSI team,

I am working with a large OMOP CDM instance hosted on SAP HANA (HANA 2.x). Currently, the OHDSI toolchain—specifically SqlRender + DatabaseConnector + DataQualityDashboard—does not support HANA as a database dialect.

I am opening this issue to request official support for SAP HANA as an additional DBMS option in the OHDSI ecosystem.

Right now, Data quality dashboard cannot run on HANA because:

  1. DatabaseConnector::connect() enforces a whitelist of DBMS names (no "hana" option).

  2. SqlRender has no "hana" translation dialect.

  3. DQD relies on SqlRender and therefore cannot translate SQL to HANA syntax.
