Crashes when app drawer is brought up ~10% of the time

Description

About 1/10 of the time, when I bring the app drawer up, it doesn't pull up, it I haven't been able to tie this to anything in particular, so I can't reproduce it. I can sit there trying to bring it up repeatedly and it will work each time. Then I reach for it again later and it crashes, I have to force close the app.

Expected Behavior

App drawer opens like this - .

Actual Behavior

Background of the home screen (wallpaper) fades to black, home screen apps still visible, but not clickable. See

Steps to Reproduce

1. At home screen -
2. Pull up from bottom to open app drawer
3. App drawer fails, as seen here:

Device and OS

• Device: Google Pixel 7a
• Android version: 14
• Launcher version: 0.9.3
• Rom: AP2A.240905.003

I find that triggering screen off and lock for a second then unlocking fixes this issue
