APK in the github releases?

Open DeanLemans opened this issue 2 months ago • 4 comments

There hasnt been an APK uploaded to github since 3.17.0 Why is that? (Context: I use obtainium to get my releases, and im currently using the fdroid version via obtainium to get my releases. But i want to pull directly via github if possible)

So the issue was raised multiple times but no response from author? I will keep this open until there is a response from developer

I checked now all github releases and there was only one single github release ages ago where an apk was provided. Apps are available through play store and also fdroid which is working with obtainium too. So there are already some channels for getting app.

Just to point out: only the owner can build and upload signed app to play store and github releases, whereas fdroid builds their release from source directly which should be fine. Also, not for every new version there was a github release in past.

I totally understand that people want an app signed and provided by developer directly. But in the end it's additional work that needs to be done by @Neamar, so let's wait on his opinion here.

I'm going to close duplicated issues in favor of this one. One issue should be enough for discussion.
