Right click / context menu does not work anymore on AUR version

Open stingray21 opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

I cannot right click on branches and commits anymore to show the context menu. It does work sometimes, but maybe like 1 in 50 clicks.

I'm not sure whether this is an issue with gittyup since there was no update of gittyup around the period I noticed this. So it might be a issue with the desktop environment or whatnot.

It only is an issue with the AUR version, it works normal with the flatpak version.

I still wanted to post this, if only for documentation purposes.

It seems like it affects only/mostly the branches section. Right click in the other parts works normal.

I also noticed that it appears to always work when I launch the app via the terminal. In case this is helpful in any way, Gittyup has a different mouse cursor whether I launch it from the terminal or Apps in the Gnome GUI.

Using yochananmarqos's PKGBUILD seems to work

Nevermind, I jumped the gun. It seemed to work but I think it was just a fluke.

I now tried removing all gittyup related files (I could find), installing the normal AUR build or with sing yochananmarqos's PKGBUILD. But I never makes the context menu work reliable.

Here is a video of the behavoir. Every time the star flickers, that is when I right click that commit. gittyup_context-menu.webm

When I launch GittyUp via the terminal

gittyup

Then the context menu works as supposed. But the mouse cursor is weird, or at least different. A different style, and really big. image
