Cannot drag a zip from Finder

Operating System:

Mac 10.9.5.

Summary of the issue or suggestion:

unable to drag a zip file into "import from zip".

What should happen:

Grab zip in Finder, drag it into textbox.

It is not supposed to work that way. Drag it into the main window.
