Pointless page. Adds nothing that the InTune UI hasn't told me

Open GregWoods opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Docs need to add info which cannot be read from the UI. This page (and may others like it) is an example of bad documentation One piece of info which would have been useful but is only implied is: "Please note... for some dumb reason, you cannot make a Windows Store app "required", thus making this whole procedure pointless"

You sure about that? It may have been true on 12/4/2021 but I don't see this little notice anywhere in Intune.

Microsoft Store apps can only be assigned to groups with the assignment type Available for enrolled devices (users install the app from the Company Portal app or website).

I would suggest that important notice go at the top of the page and not as an, "oh by the way now that you have gone through the process. you should know it was a waste of time if you planned on making the app required. sorry."
