entities not available

Open chrkli7 opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

Hi, thanks for your work.

GoSungrow gives me lots of entities, but i cannot choose them in energy dashboard, they are not available.

Can you give a tutorial how to build a dashboard (like yours), where I can integrate the entities? I have tried the lovelace tutorial, but it didn't work for me ...

Thanks!

If you want to use the Home Assistant Energy Dash Board, you can use the “Energy Configuration” template. Click on the “Energy” display. Click on the three dots in the top right corner. Click on Energy Configuration.

Click on “Add consumption” and then select sensor.gosungrow_virtual_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX_grid_to_load_energy

Click on “Add return” and then select sensor.gosungrow_virtual_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX_pv_to_grid_energy

Click on “Add Solar Production” and then select sensor.gosungrow_virtual_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX_pv_energy

Etc. If you do not have these entities then you can find other entities that display this same information. I use sensor.gosungrow_virtual_ XXXXXXXXXXXXXX p8063: sensor.gosungrow_virtual XXXXXXXXXXXXXX _p8062:

Importantly the Home Assistant Energy dashboard only deals in energy, rather than in power, so you can only select entities that are measurement of energy.

I did get a “last reset missing error”. These entities had a “state_class” of “measurement”, rather than “total” or “total_increasing”.

You can see the entities and their settings in Developer Tools States Then find your entity in question.

The entities that I use above, I did have to add custom settings in my configuration.yaml file to change the “state_class” from measurement to “total_increasing”.

I have seen that MickMake does say in https://community.home-assistant.io/t/home-assistant-community-add-on-isolarcloud-sungrow/411602/101?page=5 Apr-2023 “Yes, alas this is the problem, because the endpoints are all different across models.”

MickMake does have information on how to setup dashboards like his, but I have not used them.
