I am currently building a html home page for my DietPi server, so I wanted icons for every services I'm using. This includes dietpi-dashboard. I prefer having logos in svg format, so I was wondering if there is a version of the dietpi logo is svg ?

I know @MichaIng has some logos available, but not sure what format they are.

I transferred the issue to the website repo, where it fits better. Currently we have PNG logos only, but I have an SVG, contributed by a user a while back, which I want to use throughout our website as well, when I find time to complement it.

An open question about this logo draft is whether the text should be drawn with SVG paths or whether we make use of an the external web font and have plain text in the SVG (which means that it is not self-containing). Best would be probably to use the individual font glyphs: https://github.com/vernnobile/Michroma-font But I'm not sure how to embed them best, a way that horizontal alignment, spacing between the characters etc is correct.

If someone is able to help with finalising this, I'd be very happy. I'd check back with the user which contributed the other SVG parts, before publishing it here to work on it.

Hi @MichaIng,

Would like to offer you a new clean *.svg - Logo for the DietPi Project, because the already given image (autocreated from somewhere else in the github repos) looked creepy, just IMHO!

May i offer you a clean version of the SVG Logo done by myself? Therefore User @math-gout already asked for it in April 2022?

It would be great to contribute a stylish new one, basing on the Raspberry Logo i did a new one without text label.

Where can i upload or send you the new *.svg DietPi-Logo? I can contribute different design variants even with transparancy, if you like? Or even more variants if you prefer!

Cheers Michael

That would be great. Actually a longer time ago someone created an SVG logo already. I just never found the time to check back and finalise it. This was not you, was it?

I'd check back whether I can give you this SVG to start with. Actually it looks pretty nice already.

I'd love to have the text ich included, the "DietPi" as well as the sub title, as optional components (i.e. 3 variants of the logo). I'm just not sure how to add them best, preserving the font type. With pure SVG paths it might look not too good or be very large (in bytes). Embedding or loading it as web font works for the website but not for standalone uses. Best would be to embed the individual used glyphs as SVG paths and arrange them, but I guess this is a time consuming effort. Probably you have other ideas.
