Photos in parent and child layers are mixed up

Open dd-a opened this issue 3 years ago • 8 comments

Hi ! I have two layers with a relation through a UUID, which have both a photo field.
I first open the parent and take a picture : everything is fine then I go to the tab where I have the relation to the child layer and I take a picture there as well, then I add some more pictures in that child layer: each time a take a new picture it replaces the one in the parent layer !

I have saved the data after each photo -> no difference I have used photos from the gallery -> no difference I have named the photo fields differently -> no difference

Hi, can you try to clone https://public.cloudmergin.com/projects/documentation/forms_multiple_photos/tree and check if it works? If this one works for you, please check your project where is the difference.

Ok, I did it and modified the survey layer in order to make it look like my own project, and now it behaves like in my description above. What I did is simply add a "photo" field in the survey layer. You can take the edited version from: Jean-Balthazar/forms_multiple_photos

We have discovered this bug in our project as well. Is there any update on when it is likely to be resolved?

I encountered another user experiencing this issue. I've created a basic example of the bug in a public project support/multiple_multiple_photos

Steps to reproduce issue:

  • Press 'Record' and 'Add' a new feature

  • Add a photo to the 'Primary photo' field Screenshot_20240321_164101

  • Add a different photo to the 'Other photos' field Screenshot_20240321_164156

  • The 'Primary photo' has now been replaced by the new photo Screenshot_20240321_164204

Hi all, I had a same problem the last additional photo replace the primary photo. I tried change the directory differently, and now it is not replace. but it make the primary photo vanish, so you have to take the primary photo as your last photo to make it work.
