Spurious animation created when rotating a component

If you perform the following actions everything works fine:

1. Create or open a model. For example, a simple extruded rectangle (sample model attached).
2. Rotate using 'Q' tool, and export for X-Plane.
3. No problems.

However, if you do this:

1. Create or open a model. For example, a simple extruded rectangle (sample model attached).
2. Select all and create component.
3. Rotate using 'Q' tool, and export for X-Plane.
4. The exported object now has an unnecessary ANIM section.

This problem can become more and more complex if components are rotated within other components - likewise the associated ANIM section becomes more complex.
