WordPress plugin for Mailtrain V2?

Is there any word on whether this plugin will also work with Mailtrain V2? I'm aware V2 is a significant rewrite.

If not, what equivalent functionality exists in Mailtrain V2 to allow creation of an updated plugin, please?
