Feature request: command line profile loading

Open nmsutton opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

Thanks very much for making this software! I realize a planned feature is 'Auto-loading of color and brightness settings'. What I in particular would like is a command-line argument option that sets a profile to be loaded. For example '$ brightness-controller --profile=second_monitor_dark'. If that can be done I can then assign keyboard shortcuts in Linux to change the profiles. I have been able to do such actions using Nvidia's nvidia-xconfig via '$ nvidia-xconfig --xconfig=XCONFIG' but I want to use your software on computers that do not have Nvidia graphics cards.

OS: Linux Ubuntu Distro: 19.04 output of xrandr -q: 1366x768 60.07 + (laptop resolution) Version of Brightness Controller: v2.2

That is a great idea! I will keep this in mind for the next iteration. :)
