Shrink timer text if it no longer fits
I use LiveSplit when recording timelapses for an event in a F2P game. These generally take a couple of days to record, but it's very useful for me to show progress in the event.
I'm in the middle of recording one right now, and for the first time ever, my recording has gone for more than 100 hours. The timer, however, only shows the last two digits of the hour. My timer format settings are "1" and ".23", but I tried changing it and none of the options seems to show the third digit of the hours.
I can just make a note in the video for this time, but if future events go this long, it'd be nice to not have to do that...
You should be able to make LiveSplit wider for it to not be cut off, but I agree it would be better for it to never get cut off (the timer text would need to shrink when it reaches 100 hours)
...so upon further inspection, it seems that it's just that my window might just be too narrow for this height.
I guess I can work around it by just making that section smaller for future runs, but an option to automatically shrink the text to fit would be nice.
Similar to this, it could be helpful to have a setting with the max time that the timer can fit before it's forced to shrink.
Perhaps the timer format dropdown could allow users to pass format strings (as an advanced option?)? With a reserved character for leaving sections blank (but still occupying space). And its behaviour will be to always shrink once it exceeds (by appending to the format string to prevent it constantly resizing for different char widths)
