Clientside bloom filters

Kind of out on a whacky limb here, but what if we could find a way to publish bloom filters that the client could download and then check before making any network access? It could all be wrapped up inside the smart client. Depending on the amount of memory available in the client, it might have a pretty bad false positive rate, but even so, any time we can avoid making a network call it will probably appear as significant savings.
