Followed the readMe file to load Detectron2 on older release of this repo. worked for me

try lp.models.Detectron2LayoutModel

As @MarouaneZ1 has pointed out, the documentation is slightly unclear, but the Detectron2LayoutModel is accessible only through lp.models
