Support for new BG3 Native Linux Build
BG3 just got updated with a new native Linux build. It specifically aims to support the Steam Deck, but I can confirm it works on desktops, laptops, and other distros, etc. Can we get a native Linux build for BG3MM? Or is it possible for the Windows version of BG3MM to add support for modding this new native Linux build when it's running in a WINE prefix via Lutris or whatever?
I don't know if the mod author intends to make a native linux build of the mod manager at any point, but in the meantime you can already get the BG3MM working in linux. I wrote up a small guide on what worked for me on Linux Mint, with a Steam/Proton compatibility installation, using protontricks to install dependencies and open BG3MM:

I have the mod manager working, script extender installed, and everything working correctly in game! Hopefully this can help someone else too.
I mean that I was hoping the bg3 mod manager could be updated to support the native Linux build of baldurs gate 3 itself. That could potentially require a native Linux build of bg3mm. But I’m not asking how to do all the proton stuff to run the windows version of the game and bg3mm.
Yeah I get it, no worries! I would love that too, just thought I'd put the info here for anyone else searching for a solution!

I want to note that this seems to not work so well on Arch. Specifically CachyOS and Manjaro. I tried several different ways, following every step down to the letter, and it wouldn't work. But all distros are going to be different.
