Enable instance catalogs and skyCatalogs to be used together

For generating "standard" scenes, using the stars, galaxies, etc. from skyCatalogs is preferred. However, users may wish to include custom objects in their simulations, and for that purpose, instance catalogs are much more convenient. So we should make it possible to use both at once to provide objects to be rendered on the CCDs.
