HDMI Image Effect and color palette to emulator fceux
Hello, I have a question whether nes.emu will support the HDMI image because I am talking about the color palette and imagine effect via HDMI in the game ninja gaiden 3 the sky is half blue half purple and in the game jackie chan in stage 3 the water is light blue when I connected my famiclona console to hdmi in the TV and in the emulator when I used the same sky color i.e. purple in ninja gaiden 3 the water in stage 3 in jackie chan is also purple and not light blue can someone tell me what is going on
is there a chance to use more colors in the emulator or not
Are those BeesNES (or ports of BeesNES)?
I can’t help with other emulators but generally all of them allow you to change the palette out.
In BeesNES you currently have to change the code to change the palette, or you can be clever and rename the palette files.
They are in the Palettes folder and 2C07_aps_ela_PAL.fpal is used for PAL games while savtool_replica_float (1).pal is used for NTSC games.
The fpal files are unlikely to work in other emulators, but the regular .pal files should. You can try those out if you want to try different colors in other emulators.
Could you please give me this color so that it can be supported by the emulator because I don't know anything about it
@L-Spiro what I mean is that in the game ninja gaiden 3 in my famiclon by connecting it to hdmi the sky is purple and in the game jackie chan in level 3 the water is light blue and when I used the same color in the emulator as in the sky in the game ninja gaiden 3 then in the game jackie chan in level 3 the water is also purple instead of light blue does the hdmi input have 2 color palettes for one color square
I doubt it is multiple palettes, it’s just that your monitor is bring out certain colors different from your HDMI TV. So colors that are one the border between 2 colors might appear to be one color on one device and another on another device. Meaning that the sky and water might be close-enough colors to appear to be the same color on your monitor but look visibly different on your TV. In any case all you can do is try out different palettes.
when I play on an HD TV and I have a console like that and it is connected to HDMI
I will send you 3
screenshots of what I mean, see
@L-Spiro Hello, I have a question. Can the HDMI image be used with the emulator? I mean smoothing the edges and imagine effect.
I don’t currently support such filters but anyone could add them.
But how
It would require C++ coding. People who can do it should be able to navigate the code and find out where to put the filter. If you can’t code then you can’t do it.
