Speed result varying a lot with that of Speedtest.net

Hi, I get difference ranging 300-600 compared to speedtest.net result, the results look reversed most of the times, download speed is close to upload and vice versa. Could you please give some suggestions to tweak a bit so that matching results could be obtained?
