@scottgigante I would like to merge this into master, as the log_debug deprecation warning is blowing up our tests. Any tips on getting the CI pipeline to work?

I suspect the CI might need to be migrated over to Github actions. I'm on leave until mid-January so won't be able to help here. Re: your pipeline, you could look into logging.catch_warnings and logging.filterwarnings as a way to silence these on your end.
