Inconsistent line endings after format

It seems that when a file with \r\n line endings have mixed line endings after format. I checked the result and found that not all line endings are converted to \n. Some of them are preserved. I can use dos2unix or unix2dos to convert line endings after format, but I think the best solution is fixing it originally.
