Light bound to a switch is not reported to MQTT

What happened?

I am pressing the switch that is bound to a light. The light toggles as expected, but the light's state is not updated in MQTT/Home Assistant

What did you expect to happen?

The light's new state is reported to the MQTT network

How to reproduce it (minimal and precise)

• Bind a switch and a light
• Press the switch
• Check if the light has toggled
• Check if the new light state is reported on the MQTT network
