What do I do if the devices partly work?

I’ve read the instructions on what to do with a completely new device but I’m unclear on what to do if it partly works. There are 4 things that don’t work. 3 have accurate pictures. 1 has a picture but is nothing like what I have. The devices are

1. 3 button (right description but odd picture). Tuya.
2. 1 button. Tuya. Right picture but sends empty strings when I push it
3. 1 button. Identical to number 2
4. Carbon Monoxide Alarm. Moes (Tuya compatible). Good picture. Appropriate identities, all of which say null. Apart from the 3 button which seems like a complete mess the others are mostly suitable. I suspect I just need to edit the file.

What should I do in this situation?

I solved the Carbon Monoxide Alarm by simple removing and replacing the batteries. Didn't work for the three button though. If I look at exposes/action it says: (empty String "") without the brackets obviously. Two of these buttons have the right photo. One is a photo of something odd that looks nothing like the description.
