Help with MetSys translation

I created a new branch "4.4", which is a pending upgrade to Godot 4.4. I will merge it with master when Godot 4.4 is stable.

One of the new features is translation support for plugins. bde76381b468372b7fb288fbab8b8b92b2b2c4f9 added translations for MetSys, currently with support for Polish language (my native). You can help with translating the addon to more languages.

The procedure goes like this:

  1. Download POT file
  2. Create a new translation in a PO file editor (e.g. Poedit)
  3. Fill the translation
  4. Attach the resulting .po file here

I'll include all complete translations for the next release. There is not much strings right now. Please don't send machine-translated strings, I'd do it myself if I wanted machine translation.

I used Poedit to translate it into Japanese. I used pi.po as a reference and also translated the parts that correspond to the theme property names.

I will continue to correct and add translations if I have the opportunity.

It seems that .po files cannot be attached directly so I made it a zip file.

Thanks, looks great! image I forgot to mention, but you can test the translation by putting the file in addons/MetroidvaniaSystem/Translations. The addon uses your editor language.

Yes, I placed this jp translation file in that file path and created the translation while checking it on the screen.

I added a translations page in the wiki: https://github.com/KoBeWi/Metroidvania-System/wiki/Translations You can continue to use this issue to submit translations or open a pull request (I just merged the 4.4 branch into master). I might create a Weblate in the future.

@everyone I'm close to releasing another stable version. The addon got some new strings, so translations need to be updated. If you use Poedit, you can update the translation by opening the translation file and then selecting Translation -> Update from POT file... and filling the new strings. Feel free to drop updated files here or open a pull request.

Here is the translation of the pl.po for the french language : fr.zip I used Poedit, DeepL, ChatGPT and my brain :), to ensure having a correct translation
