Camera Preview continues to stretch

Hi all! i've been reading about this error, many people have it. The posible solution requesting the layout from the "barcodeCapture.requestLayout()" doesn't work for me. I got plenty of errors when i try to apply it.

Is there any chance that @KingsMentor solve this in the code? or explain in a certain way how to solve it?
