Simulating keyboard button click (for screen recording)

I want to screen record a promo video for my keyboard app. For that, I would like to use a fixed test string—e.g., "Hello, world!"—and simulate a button click for each character. As a result, this should look like someone typing the text on the screen, including callouts.

This will be an amazing Pro feature. I will not add it before 9.0, but it would be great to have it in a minor update after that.
