What are some more appropiate values for the attachment behavior?
Hi. The values are pretty exaggerated, and while this works and looks pretty cool, it's too much to actually ship this effect :) Did you come up with better values that look more like the messages app?
Also out of curiosity. Even though Apple showed this at the WWDC, some Apple engineer said on Twitter that the Messages.app on iOS 7 isn't actually implemented like this....
Sorry I missed your message, the nicest values are:
- length: 0.0
- damping: 0.5
- frequency: 0.8
You can also combine it with "collisions" to get a nicer effect.
As you say, in several places I have seen people talking about this and claiming that Apple engineers told them that iMessage app uses something completely different, as if it were using the underlying physics engine directly.
You can play with the iMessage app for a while and you will notice that behaves quite different, for a thing in this example the cell doesn't stuck right to your finger when you drag and you can end dragging a different cell after some time and not the cell you started dragging at the beginning.
