Edit content in a column for selected rows

Is it possible to select a sub-group of records and change the value of a field? For example, in TEST-CountryCodes.csv there is a “Sub Type” field, but several records do not contain data. Sorting on this field would arrange them together, and then we could select the records without data. We could add the text “not defined” to these fields in one action.
