Question: Will HLFixes Be Compatible with MetaAudio in a Future Update?
HLFixes is a must have for all other goldsrc games, not just for Half-Life 1 but for all expansions and mods. MetaAudio is also a necessity, The in-game steam audio, while fine, is lackluster and not particularly great or accurate. MetaAudio gives a (mostly) accurate HRTF surround sound expirience while also enriching the gameplay with its immersive sound enhancements. Sadly, neither software are compatible with one another without turning off one or the other. Shame too since I love both of these patches, but I'm sure it's mostly a software build problem, because when I try to launch MetaAudio with HLFixes turned on, I get a "MH_LoadEngine: failed to locate buildnumber" error. My only other guess is a parameter I'm not accounting for.
Perhaps it can not be done or its too tall of an order that conflicts with HLFixes inteded purpose, mainly engine patching. Still, I ask incase there is a small probabilty of HLFixes having support for MetaAudio.
It should be possible, but I'd need to make a special build.
