Parallel runs much slower than Sequential, unreachable code after return statement...

I followed the instructions, installed the add-on for Firefox, and tried out some of the demos, but the Sequential demonstrations seem to outperform the Parallel demonstrations every time. I looked through some older issues which said to open up the console to see if there were any errors happening.

Let me know if I am missing something.
