InnerSource @ AXA
At the InnerSource Summit 2025, AXA presented how they have used the patterns to establish their broader InnerSource program.
Among other patterns, they seem to be using the Code of Conduct.
Would be great to talk more to them, and add AXE as a Known Instance to the patterns that they are using.
@ana-gamito and @rmarting it was great to meet you at the Summit! As the presentations are public information, I hope it is ok to capture this information publicly here.
Would be great if we could work together to bring some of your hands-on experience with the patterns back "upstream" ;)
Btw if you have the GitHub user of Carlos, would be great if you could mention him here too.
IMHO CoC pattern is a mature one as there are some Known Instances (not just AXA), as Airbus presented it too as another pattern adopted in their IS approach. If Ana or Carlos agrees, we should add it and promote the pattern as a matured one to add into the current book (and it could require to update the mind map to link it).
The rest of the patterns involved here are already listed in the IS patterns book, but not sure if you want to add AXA as a known instance in each of them. Some patterns involved here: Document your Guiding Principles, Standard Base Documentation, Issue Tracker Use Cases, Praise Participants, Trusted Committer, Core Team, InnerSource License, InnerSource Portal.
Yes, if you could add AXA to the CoC pattern, and all the other patterns that AXA has adopted, that would be awesome! If for any of these patterns you did anything interesting while adopting them, you can always share 1-2 sentences in the Known Instances section of the respective pattern.
I suggest to do this first.
After that we can figure it what is left to do for the CoC pattern to get it published to the book (I suspect it won't be that much).
