Create a Badge With Learning Path as Education Component

Badge curation platform Credly Acclaim is used by many organizations in the industry to track badges for competencies. For example, IBM curates several open source badges (e.g. https://www.youracclaim.com/badges/94018018-29d3-4523-9f16-34761c26640f). We could create an Innersource badge and use the learning path as the education component. The process to add a new badge, etc. can be found here: https://info.credly.com/how-credly-works If we need a sponsoring organization, I may be able to get IBM to do it.

Couple of questions to understand which currency is traded here through these badges :)

For you as a user, what is the motivation to put in the time to earn such a badge?

Also for the issuer of the badge (e.g. IBM), what is the motivation to put in time and money to offer such badges?

For user: It's micro-credentialing. Looks good on CV, demonstrates competency in a traceable/structured way. For issuer: Demonstrates expertise in these areas at a high enough level to evaluate others. Shows the organization is leading in these areas. Also used internally for evaluation/promotion, etc.

I wonder what would be the qualifications to receive such a badge.

Almost feel like within a company the company could offer such badges.
