it has stopped working
after %xterm I get google that all we know, is this still workng?
Hi saaraahfar,
I was able to install and use it without issue today (2023-01-10).
Can you please provide some more information about your issue?
- Does colab-xterm install successfully with the message "Successfully installed colab-xterm-0.1.2"?
- Did you ensure to load the extension after installing? (%load_ext colabxterm)
- Are any error messages displayed other than the "that's all we know" message?

Thanks,
Dave
As a follow-up, another user found they ran into this issue when running Colab in an incognito/private window:

You might also try disabling some extensions that affect network traffic, such as adblockers.
Thanks,
Dave
Hi, I came here from InvokeAI collab page where the xterm doesn't start because of 403 too. Trying the demo collab, it shows same error, even after I whitelisted the google domain for 3rd party cookies, what else might be required in settings, for this to work? I'm in Chrome, not incognito, just normal mode. I also tried to switch chrome security to "no protection", in order to allow anything to run on collab, and it didn't help, that's so weird.

All I see in console is this, seems like permission denied, what else I might need to set in chrome? even with security off, that's the strange part. I'll try in firefox now too

I also allowed all 3rd party cookies by also setting "allow all cookies" temporarily, and restarted browser just in case, was still the same :( . maybe something with the way collab runtime works, if it was updated and now is no longer compatible?
For anyone stumbling upon this thread from google like me, make sure to turn off your antivirus or anticookie-shields by whatever extensions or plugins they are running in your case :)
In my case it was Bitdefender antivirus plugin in Chrome blocking cookies even after enabled in Chrome settings 😅 . Same in Brave, the shields and the BD shields were both blocking it until turned off. And then it worked

delete firefox and insall firefox. I ensure it works on this way.
The default brave cannot work. The default chrome can work.
