Would it be possible to port this extension to Waterfox 68, seeing how it still supports legacy add-ons?
Hi Infocatcher,
I have been using your add-on for many years now and I am very satisfied with it. Next to Classic Theme Restorer, it is one of the first extensions I install whenever I set up a new Firefox installation. As you know, with Firefox 57+ it became impossible to run your add-on within Firefox, a fact that made me switch to Waterfox, a project that has maintained a Firefox 56 base up until now, mainly applying security patches to it.
Recently, the Waterfox developer created a fork of the upcoming Firefox 68 code base, applying patches to it that can make legacy add-ons run within the browser. He has ported the code from the Thunderbird project.

The first Alpha of the new browser has been released already:

My question is, as the title already states: Would it be possible to port Private Tab to Waterfox 68? If yes, how difficult would it be? Is it feasible?
Thank you for your attention.
For what it's worth, this add-on has been rudimentary ported to Waterfox 68 already by @xiaoxiaoflood:

However, it doesn't appear to work fully, so it would be great if @Infocatcher, the original author of the extension, could have a look at it:
