twitch launcher is just uses the normal minecraft launcher for launching the game but has a fancy gui for downloading and creating modpacks.

Actually I suppose we could figure out how the profile system itself works, we'll need to adapt the installer to create a twitch launcher profile and then a vanilla one where the twitch launcher one points to.
