Ernest DBAs sneak into System Admin's World

Abstract Role of a database administrator is evolving, and expanding vertically(across platforms) as much as it is horizontally(across database flavours). This talk will be about how this mutually benefiting tryst(pun intended) is shaping between System administrators and Database administrators. We ll discuss tools and standards that DBAs are adapting to, while helping free-up time for system administrators, and what else do they seek from them.

  • At what point DBAs expect system admins to handover a box?
  • When DBAs need system admins back, to help out?
  • How DBAs and system admins can collaborate for resilient system that doesnt fail often?
  • How DBAs and system admins survive together in the world of spectre like vulnerabilities?

@yogiboy thats fine, anything around 40-45 mins, we would still give it an hour, just to be sure, we have time to catch up if we mess something, :D
