🐛Export answers button not working

Open dummyies opened this issue 7 months ago • 5 comments

Describe the bug The export answers button in question page is not working in self hosted instances on cloud.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. create a new docker hi.events instances in both render and railway.
  2. create a new event
  3. try on export answers button in questions page

Expected behavior There should be a popup on exporting in progress, followed by an answers csv file. In the hosted versions, there is no pop up at all and the csv file is not exported and the network console says timed out. The funny thing is that it works on orders and attendees csv export but just not on answers csv.

Screenshots hi.events hosted version works. Image Image

The render and railway versions timed out and do not work. Image Image

Logs see screenshots above too Image

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • Browser (tried on firefox and chrome both on windows and android)

Hi.Events Version and platform Latest docker version - on railway and render (daveearley/hi.events-all-in-one:latest)

Thanks for this great project. I really like it!

Not sure whether this is the problem. I don't have s3-private setup. Is there an option to export locally, similar to orders and attendees xls export?

Thank you!

Just a new note. I have setup s3-private but the export answers button is still not functional.

#621 fixes Q&A exports for users using AWS S3.

For S3 users, please try the temporary fix mentioned [here](https://github.com/HiEventsDev/Hi.Events/issues/616#issuecomment-2971003074).

Discovered this same issue for self hosted. Anyone come across a fix for this?

Hey @Brantlab are you using the latest version of Hi.Events?

The latest public docker image may not be the latest version of Hi.Events.
