Incorrect search result for incorrect date format

Checked in as testingguru2018. on 'List Field Data' screen - select 'Hurricane' and date as '10/04/2017' and click on Search:

3 rows are correct displayed.

now enter date as '010/04/2017' and search.

4 rows are displayed. **4th row is incorrectly fetched.

also system should not allow to enter and search using incorrect date format**

same issues are with 'Resource tab'
